Epica and The Black Halo are exactly on the same level for me. Two of the best albums ever imo (I think they share the fourth rank on my favorite albums of all time-list. Highest ranked metal albums, btw). Then again, they are two halves of the same piece of art anyway, so I don't feel the need to make it a contest.

Both are definitely better than Karma though imo, but Karma is still top-notch (power) metal and an easy 9/10 for me.

Dominion?? How come? Normally the only people who actually know the first two albums are those who already know the rest of their discography and dare to go into the early territory. They really aren't worth checking out though, there's nothing specifically rewarding about them.

When it comes to Fourth Legacy up to Poetry though (to be honest, Silverthorn also counts), every album has its gems worth hearing. Karma up to Black Halo are the best three though, and as you can see above most on here seem to agree with that.

Hah, I remember seeing the album art back then when I discovered this band and thinking "what the heck is that??" Over the time I've come to appreciate it for its nerdy charme. It's got that little something, haha. I don't hate the music but it isn't good either. It just isn't anything special, and the vocals are sub-par - better than on Eternity at least, still not great in comparison to other singers of the genre, not to mention in comparison to Roy Khan (best of metal, truth be told).

Sounds like a good sequence, have fun with Karma, it's catchy as hell!

This has always been my favourite of that run of 3. The other 2 never really clicked with me but it's about time I give them a re listen
