"It's not a war on drugs, it's a war on personal freedom."

Too much personal freedom leads to disorder and anarchy. Drugs bring almost nothing positive if they're not regulated, they can entrap your mind just as much as social media and pornography do. The only way to introduce drugs into civilized society is by educating people en masse on the subject before legalization, which is not a very productive way to spend public money when there are much bigger issues that need prioritized - homelessness, illegal immigration, unemployment, decreasing standards of living all around the developed world, etc.

The fact that the US government legalized weed and years later so many studies have shown that weed consumption can induce schizophrenia in tens of thousands gives you an idea of where we currently are.

Personal freedom means shit, I'd rather live in Switzerland or Singapore and obey 200 rules every time I go out for a walk than in a country with unregulated freedom and idiot population.

Highly disagree when it comes to the part regarding personal freedom. Covid showed how important personal freedom is and how dispensable it can become when the people in power become even more power hungry in our supposedly "liberal" democratic society

Though regarding drugs i'm not too enthusiastic personally
