I can't be bothered to dig up the actual comment, but I remember being high once and commenting about how Carbomb sounded like a spiritual successor to this. The precise atonal rhythms of the riffs are like a rusting industrial factory, but with these little bits of melody and harmony creeping in like flowers growing in the cracks between the concrete.

Fuck me, the mid-section of Turned Out where the guitars cut out and slowly build back in is a GOAT moment all on it's own. They were so good with letting those grooves breathe and build.
