fuck it, I finished rating. Its definately a solid 4. There are a couple of weaker songs on the album imo but Needles and Pins, Hexagram, Deathblow, Minerva and Bloody Cape especially rule face.

yeah those were two songs that I didn't really fall in love with until years after I'd been listening to the record (or at least it seemed like years). WGTB has that epic middle section that gets me every time.

to be honest, self-titled is Deftones record I listen to the least after Adrenaline. I'm not sure why, but I'm listening right now and Bloody Cape is so fucking epic. The ending screams are spine tingling. I remember seeing Chino do it live and fucking kill it, spot on.

yeah fucking sick. Adrenaline was my favorite for the longest time, but it was also my first experience with Deftones so there might be a bit of a sentimental factor to it.

I was the same way since I was like 12 years old. For years no other record could touch Adrenaline. Now, I pull it out on a nice sunny day if I'm skateboarding or just really pissed off. Its just a really aggressive sounding record.
