I had a similar feeling. If you listen to White Pony, Diamond Eyes, then Ohms, it kind of works. It's a weird progression, but it fits.

I don't think Ohms has much in common with White Pony. This sounds like Deftones took the best elements of SNW/DE/KNY and made an album out of it. IMO, they never made another album that sounds just like White Pony.

I could see TSOM fitting on White Pony with a few tweaks. The chorus brings the same kind of haunting vibe Change does.

Tronald, it's a progression. There will never be another White Pony. This whole thread is the house Deftones built. Ohms is chunkier, more bass, more dropped tuning, more timing changes... Honestly what's to hate?

After about 10 listens, Ohms is a different animal. I love it, really love it. I'm missing the equivalent to Digital Bath. It feels like it should have that. Still a 5.
