"Tip for debating people in future, work out exactly what you are disagreeing with first"
oh no, i know exactly what im disagreeing with.
remember this?;
"well considering this observation is entirely false, yes.
'ambience' and atmosphere are just as key as percussion throughout the whole album. and lotus flower and separator are just as rhythmically promiscuous as the first half of the album. codex and give up the ghost are the only two that aren't. the reason they happen to be together in the middle of the last half of the album is because there are people who understand dynamics and realize AMSP is a complete mess."
or did that just fly over your head like common human linguistic functions like sarcasm that isn't socially crippled

Be right back, gonna go drive a fork into one of my eyes just for thinking about Pitbull rapping over Feral

The first four tracks are so dense, almost to a fault. With all the reverb on Lotus Flower and Separator I think of them as closer to Codex and Give Up The Ghost. Even if they feature interesting beats, they have a lot more negative space

which dynamically gives the album a sense of release of tension and then a calming after glow and does not in any way show a lack in focus on ambience on either side of the album.

Lotus Flower is rhythmically interesting yes, but does the looped beat on Separator actually vary that much ever?

And we all know the Rap feature would be Feral just because Thom only sort of sings on it...
The other one would probably be... maybe Lotus Flower because it's the single?

literally all the drums on the album are loops dude lol

thom can rap

it doesnt matter if different songs have more drum loops then others, they are all loops and what is intricate in them is the production on them, exactly where songs fall sounding natural and human instead of electronic, the tones and how the hits vary in volume as well. you are looking at the drums here like a metal album when you should be looking at them like a jazz album.
