They get so upset because they are offended by their own sexual attraction to the same sex, it's all about projection. If you're comfortable with your own sexuality, why would you get upset if you witness a gay person being comfortable with their sexuality? Unless you're religious, I guess.

Idk Jurtz... In my experience there is a lot of hatred and intolerance out there, and it doesn't neccessarily stems from projection... Some people are just wired to impose their dominance over others, their conception of the world must be the only they see around them. It's sad but I've seen people like that since I'm a child... And yeah, Jon Nödtveidt (as much as he was a freakin' gnius) seems to have been a terrible nutcase too. Agree with homophobia killing being utterly terrible, but I think any group centered hate (like racism, homophobia, mysoginy) as a reason ranks at the same (abysmal low) level.

For real, killing someone for pertaining to a certain gender, race (I prefer ethnicity but...) or sexual preference category is just plain stupid and shows a kind of mind I wouldn't like around me at all.

About Faust, the official story seems to imply the gay man was drunk and approached him to solicite for sex. Any empathetic human being would have kindly refused and kept going, but Faust was very upset by this solicitation (first indication of an intolerant brain and/or like Jurtz said, projection) so he agreed to meet him in a nearby spot in the woods (hidden presumably) (a simply intolerant person would haven't have acted like this at all), where he stabbed him 37 times (which shows in my opinion a psychopathic kind of brain or religious fanatism of the worst kind). He confessed the crime a year later or so... He only did half of the time he was sentenced to for "good behaviour". He returned to music almost immediately.

My conclusion after all we know is that Faust is either a high functioning psycho or a brainwashed kid with little empathy. We tend to think these are isolated cases, they are not...

I highlighted the homophobia because that's obv personal for me, but yeah any kind of bigoted group or person is fucked up.



I think it's definitely projection for some people, but for others they just can't seem to stand the fact that people exist who are different from them. I'm not closeted but I'm also not open, so at like work and stuff people will say homophobic shit in front of me and it's always the most ignorant shit.
