"Dude. Just 3 it without listen. You ve allready decided and it makes no difference at all."
I mean, the whole point of listening is that I'm open to being persuaded otherwise. I am decided based only off the songs I already know, but if they work better in sequence, fair shits

And lol Neek not today (am in a good mood and don't need Tool vibes rn), but sometime soon

@Johnny ill be honest i wasnt that big on Tool when i first listened to them. Took me many listens till I 'got it' and after that it was smooth sailing with the rest of their albums (I checked out aenima first)

disgrace...

Bits I know from Aenima are definitely more enjoyable than those from this, might do that one first

@Valkoor I mean, I love Tool, and when they are amazing, they are AMAZING, but I find that their albums tend waver in quality a times. I will say, this album is a potential 4.5 from me, although I dont see myself ever giving a Tool album a 5, even though plenty of their songs are 5/5 tracks

Damn, Johnny. You used to be cool. What happened, man?

Heh I might have done some time with the trendy kids, but I have always been bleached out by Tool and I don't forget my roots :[

Okay, so that was kinda worthwhile. It was interesting to hear the songs I know with a different pair of ears. I wasn't that much more impressed, but it was cool to get a better sense of what was happening technically. At the end of the day, this album is about a particular atmosphere that I still find pretentious and uninteresting but with a better sense of the craft behind it, it's a little less boring. The Grudge and Parabola got me nodding along, but Ticks and Leaches was naff and way overplayed, Schism is a classic case of how to butcher a decent lyric through overuse and the closer is plain embarrassing. The dynamics are pretty dull and largely obvious once the same builds have played out a couple of times, but I wouldn't rule out coming back to this

Hope you're happy, neek ;]
