Considering that I'm a pasty central European and right now I don't really like summer and by extension the sun too much I'm gonna take it. I also like Norse mythology and think monotheism has general tendency towards being dumb so "heathen" isn't entirely unfitting, either.

I think Jehovah gets too much crap for not being "interesting" just because he's from a currently-popular mythology. Swarms of locusts, rivers of blood, pillars of fire, and don't you dare look back or I'll turn your wife into salt I swear to er, me. Old Testament god was an interesting jerk, as much so as any of the other gods. There was only one of him in the mythology, though, so I can see why that would get boring compared to a mythology with a ton of characters.

Yeah but nobody really pays any attention to the OT anymore apart from all those whackjob hyperconservative American protestant confessions. Even a lot of European catholics don't bother with that anymore.

I also wasn't doing a direct comparison. I was noting that I think monotheism has historically had some really stupid tendencies and that I prefer Norse mythology in comparison to monotheistic mythology. That includes Judaism, Christianity, Islam and Bhuddism.
