"HttT is a throw-together of all their styles from previous albums. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't,"

So like PJ Harvey's Uh Huh Her? Which is her worst album by far...

"The layers of percussion on Lotus Flower and Separator aren't nearly as dense as on the first half of the album, don't be a moron"

I mean if you have a dull shallow mind and can't think beyond fundamentals into any kind of abstract musical observation sure but actually Lotus Flower and Separator are in the exact same league as the first half in terms of percussive intricacy.

"what could that sentence possibly mean "

your inability to process basic human sarcasm is inhumanly robotic and kind of creepy tbh.

meticulously designing percussion in this way is just as thought out in mildly less bombastic songs as it is in said more 'busy' ones. if you don't understand basic musical concepts like this you either have probably never touched an instrument in your life, or are just an extremely stupid musician.

I never said the percussion on the second half of this album wasn't well thought out and deliberate lol. I said there is a stronger focus on rhythm on Side A and atmosphere on Side B. Tip for debating people in future, work out exactly what you are disagreeing with first
