Batter Up has grown on me too. I love the line about the night sky over Camden. I grew up in Philly so the line feels close to home yet it's so eerie because it's an basically about a UFO (I'm assuming that's the right preception?)

It's funny how the tracks I found the most drab and uninteresting at first have become my favorites.

Same Logic/Teeth is definitely up there. It's like the prototypical Brand New song. But for that same reason, it doesn't hold a candle to the slow burn of Lit Me Up. Song just defies the ceiling of what a bare minimal (mostly just drum beats) song should be able to do.

Same Logic is my most returned to song on this album frrshrr. I agree with you too though sowing, it shouldn't be possible for such a minimal song to be so massive

Same Logic was my best song of 2017, a top 5 Brand New song, and one of my favorite songs of all time.

It hasn't even been a year yet.

"451" has one of the best choruses Brand New has ever written but I think I'd agree with "Lit Me Up" being the best here.

feels good to see so many people validating my opinions right now lmao. Same Logic is my favorite here, followed by Lit Me Up, then In The Water. Never understood the hype for Waste, I think it's way too simple and kinda bland musically.

The "I'm a ghost" outro is by far the best hidden track here. Can you imagine they extended that part out into "Sealed to Me"?
