I had a shiny Kangaskhan that I caught in the Rock Tunnel. My first shiny ever. It was the best.

No way! That's awesome. We didn't have shinies. Although we found a shiny Yanma once. But we killed it.

Funny you say that, because Yanma was one of the last pokemon I caught in silver. For whatever reason, I never encountered it where it was supposed to appear. No trainers had it either.

Collectively Opeth’s opening tracks are the greatest ever I’d imagine, not that I’ve bothered working this out.
I see we’re on Pokemon again. Weirdly I also never name my Pokemon Pika, I think it just ‘looks’ better, like that’s how the opponent sees you, or something.

Neurosis would like to have a word with you.

Same. Besides, I was never any good with nicknames to begin with.

Agreed with Morningrise on both counts (3).
The Gen 2 remakes are the ultimate Pokemon games in fact. They fleshed out/balanced Kanto to make it feel like more than an afterthought.
