If they choose to have a former guitarist return, I would honestly hope it would be Chris Poland.
Don't get me wrong, my favorite Megadeth album is Rust in Peace and Marty Friedman is an absolute beast of a player, but remember the last album he made with them was Risk, which probably just as bad as Super Collider. Not to mention Marty is doing pretty well for himself over in Japan at the moment
Megadeth needs a guitarist who can bring back some of that raw aggression from the mid 80s to the early 90s, and I feel Poland's playing would be best for that
