that song is ok. Not impressed but I'm curious to see what else that side project comes up with

"Even as artists who create music for dystopian times, we never expected to be actually living in those times," said Sol Invicto. "With all that's happening right now, we have decided to share a new song and our music, which is our Ikigai, or, reason for being.

That track was honestly a perfect summary of why I dont understand the idea of Stephen being an impressive guitarist

It was pretty much just chugs and made me wonder why the dudes in sikth would want to water down their own talents

I mean aside from it looking good on their resume to play with him

Steph's more of a great songwriter than an actual technically impressive player imo. Like he comes up with some great textures and chord progressions. I'd honestly prefer the latter to the former if I had to pick a lane as a musician, but I'd be happiest as both.

Ok Im ranking Deftones albums best to worst in terms of production fuck it lets do this

1. Diamond Eyes

2. Ohms

3. Koi No Yokan

4. White Pony

5. S/T

6. Around the Fur

7. SNW

8. Adrenaline

9. Gore

Pretty much all of their mixes have their charms except for Gore though. Diamond Eyes as number one is probably pretty divisive since it's so clean but that whole album has such a unique heartbeat to it

I know everyone hates Gore but the production is not worse than Adrenaline. The songs just suck thats all.

At least Adrenaline's production fits the album. The drums sound kinda good and I like how dry the vocals are. It's mostly only the guitars that sound too tinny on Adrenaline

Gore's production doesn't do the songs any justice at all

Adrenalines production only fits the album because the album is just as shit as the production
