the dissonance coursing through Ful Stop, culminating around Thom saying "this is a foul-tasting medicine"

when the strings first start to sigh into Glass Eyes

the last two minutes of Daydreaming, particularly when the violin comes howling through

"broken hearts make it rain" in Identikit

"the future lives insiiiiiiide us" in The Numbers

"in you I'm lost" from Present Tense

the string climax in Tinker Tailor

1:53 - 2:28, when True Love Waits takes a subtle turn towards the sinister

There are a few more, but yeah, this album is chock-full of transcendent moments for me

i wanted to like this so badly, i havent been this disappointed in an album in forever. @poly agreed with the daydreaming and identikit ones but the other ones pretty much do nothing for me

I'm a bit surprised at the lack of love for Glass Eyes on this site - very unique Radiohead song and an equally unique vocal from Thom.

the string climax in Tinker Tailor = best moment of the album agreed

Almost makes up for the garbage string climax on Burn the Witch

@talktothehead: 5/5 is not the same thing as perfect, it means different things for everybody but I don't think anybody considers all of their 5s truly perfect.

All of the major criticisms I hear of this album (samey, sappy, quiet, unadventurous) I'd sooner apply to In Rainbows if I'm being perfectly honest. This doesn't have as good a flow but is considerably more diverse and detailed

also talktothehead = ALA right guys

5 doesn't mean perfect, this album isn't perfect nor are any of my 5s. This is just as emotionally and aesthetically pleasing to me as about any other record out there
