Pretty easy, band's aging like fine wine

Not trolling pika, considered dead is actually a pretty intricately developed dm album and never gets enough credit for what it is

GOAT band [2]

Obscura = FWTH = erosion

Yeah it’s an EP but tbf it’s only like a few minutes shorter than most of their records pre-this. I think it’d dense and quality enough to hang with the big boys.

It’d probably be my third favorite behind this and Obscura

interesting many of you rate FWTH so high. I find that it slogs a bit between the peaks and then the back half isn't quite as interesting. Though I probably never really focused on it that much because of how thrilling Inverted and t/t are

Production is over the top goated, the dissonant riffing style on many tracks was really influential and ahead of its time and it's just a super fun album. Flies by real quick when I put it on

yeah, I understand this. FWTH is easily below Obscura, this and Erosion for me. Perhaps marginally ahead of CD tho

Pleiades would place alongside FWTH, for the record

Nah Wisdom was a step in the right direction after the overly experimental Obscura, then Colored Sands just balances out everything perfectly, they just get better and better

Disagreed my friend, fwth trumps this pretty handily for me

“overly experimental Obscura”

hmm, nah we’re not getting far here. Game changer of an album with ludicrous (possibly unparalleled within DM) replay-ability

Calling it now, with the trajectory the band has had at this point, 2025 guts will not only be their best record but a landmark dm album.

I’ll happily eat shit if I’m wrong
