disagred hard doof. yeah its short and would've benefitted from the singles being on there, but it further explored a lot of interesting territory that radiohead had hinted at before. i was really hoping they would continue in that direction on this album

I quite like they went for an extended Pyramid Song/House of Cards vibe on this, it feels a fleshed out album with a consistent sound palette and atmosphere.

King of Limbs is a bit of a grab bag - Feral on the same release as Give Up the Ghost? Doesn't really work for me, always sounded like cobbled together songs from different sessions/song writing periods to me.

I wouldn't even say Amnesiac is random, just diverse

Give Up the Ghost and Codex would both be top 4 on KoL for me but neither would make a top 8 on this. That sums up where I'm coming from on the two releases.

The last four songs on each album are easy to compare as they each flow as their own mini standalone suite and are pretty much comparable in quality for me, so KoL is far from bad.

It's just that the first half only gives me two songs I care for (Magpie and Feral sound B-Side level) whereas here you have Daydreaming, Decks Dark, Ful Stop and Glass Eyes as songs I'd consider top tier and the rest are still decent.

giving a 5.0/5.0 to this is like giving a 5.0/5.0 to the bends and hail to the thief at the same time. truly teh worstt crime you could commit.

one thing that really disappointed me about in rainbows is thatt after the firstt 5 songs or so it lost its momentum and f;low

I don't give a fuck, this album has a good handful of my favourite Radiohead moments ever and is consistently gorgeous to listen to

sure the flow isn't perfect and it is pretty quiet overall, but in terms of quality of individual songs this is their strongest at least since Amnesiac

thats what disappoints me the most; theres pretty much nothing i can point to here and go "this is one of my favorite radiohead moments"
