Paoline too for sure. Immediately came to my mind when other unique dudes like Chalky and whatever dude on Nespithes name is. Moments on Mortal Decay stuff definitely reminds me of Demilich along with other well executed styles mixed in with it

I'm envious you got to see Chalky live! For some reason up until like last year I was under the impression he had died awhile back but I was wrong lol. Is he currently in any projects or has been recently or did you catch him when he was still with Psycroptic? I've seen Psycroptic twice and they killed it both times. Once was with the vocalist from Origin and I wanna say the other time it was someone else but I'm not sure who

I saw him with psycroptic in I wanna say 2008 or 2009. Was absolutely blown away, I hadn’t seen many death metal/grind bands live that weren’t some Sumerian records boo boo nonsense back then. Origin actually played that show too but I was too busy watching John longstreth to even notice the vocals

I thought Chalky left after Scepter which was in 2003. Symbols of Failure came out in '06 and he wasn't on that record

Oh damn, you’re right, just wiki’d it. A couple dudes nearby me at that show were talking about how stoked they were to see chalky but maybe they were out of the loop and I just assumed the weird dude they had was him. He had like a shaved head except for one long braid on the back of his head lmao

Returning to this after a few years, I realised I’d severely underestimated the levels to which this fucking GOES. Bumped from 3.7.

I don't know where you guys are hearing this "RUH" nonsense. Lord Worm clearly says "Capricornus Rex in tenebris, I long to feel the dark caress of your cloven hooves; I seek the loving warmth of your anus as I place my worshipful lips about your teats"

duh

This is like when someone in a movie looks at a dirty magazine, turns it sideways, and the pages unfold. But, for, like, Jesus

“Impaled on one of its many legs,
A bug-eyed Mary gapes on in horror
As her only son is chewed to bits
By spiderchrist... She is flecked with gore”

😦 that’s amazing
