Debating whether this or KNY is their best. Both create a unique atmosphere, but i think the most obvious difference is the production value that comes from being made 6yrs apart. The snare in particular is so rich and full on KNY, and everything else just feels so polished, but as a whole i find the production on Wrist to be much more intimate, like it was the start of an unflinching pursuit of a more dynamic and exciting sound

Deftones continues and even improves the shoegaze-like heavy/soft dynamics of the s/t album. Amazing atmosphere, more consistent songwriting and some Chino's best vocals. Fantastic production from Bob Ezrin and Shaun Lopez. Top notch.

Some of the effects on Chino's voice here, and the notes he hits are unbelievable. It's easily his best album vocally, even though it's damn near impossible for him to recreate these sounds live, although he does manage sometimes. And then sometimes, he fails miserably. Case in point, that Conan performance of Hole in The Earth a decade ago. My ears actually bled at a few parts.
