ey plane i'm actually one of the farm animals that loikes the brazen stupidity and trolling of kanye and we can adjudicate a different interpretation of what that lyric is-- but every comment i've seen you make, it's like watching shadows and sowing giving each other handjobs

"Y'all overanalyzing, its shabby wordplay at best"
I think you can eke it out from the rest of the song's lyrics, look at em. Verses vs. chorus. He always has an interest in transforming his spirit of publicly-aired contradiction into a overriding formal element, even if I don't like how it sounds

"very clearly not to mention he said it was"
did he? I remember a ton of Death Grips comparisons when this dropped but I honestly can't recall seeing Kanye himself say it was inspired by Dg

IT'S SHABBY WORDPLAY AT BEST. THERE'S NO WAY YOU COULD ACTUALLY THINK KANYE IS THAT INTELLECTUAL TO ACTUALLY CONSIDER SOMETHING LIKE THAT. ITS NOT THAT DEEP

Well yeah but that's assuming Kanye has anything worth to parse. What is there intellectually stimulating in this record but fodder for psychoanalyzing a case study in narcissism? I can't think of much
|

what kanye has to "say" on this could be cordoned off to maybe 10 minutes of content but the production is good and there's some cool moments

I think the duration/consistency of what he has to say is part of the formal gambit I'm talking about: makes his "act" on this album too convincing to be ignored as such, and it's an element you have to live with if you like the album, how it sounds, listening to it front to back. But it's not entirely consistent, contra my earlier words, and "New Slaves," "Black Skinhead," and "Bound 2" all have something very different to offer lyrically. The first two could be roped together by his anger, but they're basically contradictory. You don't have to find it interesting.

where they differ they are still highly personal and aside from bound 2 the sound is consistent, which is the most important part when it comes to kanyes music, given he is first and foremost a talented producer

Bound 2 is pretty awesome, I don't know why it's maligned on here. Perfect closer.
