i agree w/ that for sure
but their riffs are way better than like all but 5 bands from the mid 80s. anthrax, forbidden, toxik, heathen, sacred reich, literally every single one of these bands has simpler, less interesting riffs with fewer subtle woah moments. i didnt realise it before i started playing guitar

i noticed theres a few channels on youtube that really deep dive into his drumming and why it sounds so weird at times... honestly his incompetence might have made for more interesting music in the end, than if he tried to play everything straight and be the simplest most boring drummer of all time
