Park I didn’t actually say those albums you listed were ‘pure’ ODSM either, just that maybe this moves even further away from DM into prog territory (although I would agree others already did that, that’s fair... Atheist being a notable example of course). I just don’t think this makes Symbolic a lesser album by association. Like Ford said this has a certain magic about it.
