acid made me stop liking cigarettes at least , probably one of the Worst things to do while tripping , and I smoked for yeeears. not for like 3 months tho now
|

Acid at a rave is fun because you don't actually have to talk to anyone but acid at a house party with lots of strangers is a lot lol.

| |
I loved smoking on acid when I was a smoker. Felt and tasted like earth. I turn into a mud baby on acid tho. No fucks given, gonna play in the dirt.

that's why I don't fuck with psychedelics anymore. I get too deep in a thought hole questioning everything and don't have the mental strength to get out.
seriously though, 5HTP has worked wonders for me this year. I was on anti-depressants and mood stabilizers when I was 18-19 and hated it because I was hella overprescribed and just felt like mush. looking back, that year is in a complete fog.
I've been apprehensive getting back on anti-depressants because I don't like the idea of having to take something for the rest of my life, continuously upping the dosage over the years. also worried about experiencing the same thing I did 10 years ago, so I decided on 5HTP. helps

Once I had trip in one of those festival portable plastic bahtrooms. There was cleaning machines outside but for me the walls were fucking closing in, the dump was cancelled but I was laughing like crazy inside that thing.

Also have heard people try saying doing shrooms every 6 months helps but idk. My 3 or 4 grams in 2012 was enough to last through 6 years at least. I dunno...then again I was really depressed during those years but i could flip a switch at times and get out of it easily. There's no switch anymore that I can flip and it goes away.

Um if your doctor told you this is how anti depressants are supposed to work you need a new doctor immediately
They are supposed to be treated as a temporary bandaid while you take other steps like counseling or behaviour therapy or changing your diet and lifestyle even so you can wean OFF of them

@pots just speaking from my mom's perspective. she and I both have manic depression and bpd. I can't remember exactly how much her dosage is, or how much of what, but it's astronomical and I remember her saying it didn't start like that. it's to the point where she takes shit like anti-anxiety meds to prevent side effects from other medications.
it's sad, but considering how shit her life has been, I don't hold it against her. she's able to be and feel "normal"

also considering how America's healthcare treats people with mental illness, the last thing they want is people off their meds. no money in that
|
| |
Manic depression and bipolar disorder are the same thing
But that is very sad but a common consequence of the fact that doctors over prescribe and want to keep people on medication because of the money. That's not how antidepressants are intended to be used at all. Unless they are being used for chronic pain management they are supposed to be temporary aids as a tool to help introduce other means to cope with your mental health issues.
