A few observations:
- the merging of acoustic, folky sections and prog death is probably smoother than anything I've heard so far trying it
- as I've only really heard progpeth outside of a few tracks it is blowing my mind how good Mikael is at growling
- the bass on this album is a work of understated godliness. It adds colour without being too ostentatious and still actually underpins the feckin album

I'm definitely up for some more prog if it's good. Heritage is top six, possibly top 5 for me now and Pale Communion was super solid too. Sorcceress is the only letdown.
