I might have to get back into these guys. Haven't listened to this in years, but I needed something mellow and this is perfect!

This and Amnesiac are mellow for me. At least compared to the other stuff I usually listen to.

yeah a big part of kid a and amnesiac being mellow for me may have something to do with the fact that when i started lsitening to them literally all i listened to was metal

For me, the atmosphere that I get from this album is one of desolation, anxiety, and most of all loneliness. Everything about it feels so alone and isolated. It's one of my favourite albums to listen to when it's quiet and I'm on my own.

It really doesn't ask that I be in any "mood" either for it. It's just a consistently outstanding release, and when I am "in the mood" for it, it just becomes one of the best ever.

The title track is as sparse and desolate as it gets

We've got heads on sticks

And you've got ventriloquists

Completely agreed avon. I think Kid A is my favourite on the album (for real, it's been that way for more than like two days so I think it might be the one).
