Yeah I wouldn't go that far. The You Fail Me Redux album as a whole is absolutely great, love it, and certainly enjoy the original too. The song I could take or leave tho. It's not like I'm skipping it, but I'm far from pressing repeat.

It's hard for me to say anything in music is "perfect" though. For me, this album is as close as Converge gets to perfect. I think the songwriting in general (but definitely more-so for their longer tracks) is better than it's ever been, and in releasing a 17-track album, that's an incredibly hard feat.

I'm just jabbing at you. I've probably used that joke 100 times. This album is great. YFM is just my baby.

And I completely respect that man. It's one of two Converge albums I own on vinyl so realistically, its one of their best for me too, along with this one.

@gyro
I've definitely peer-pressured 5'd JD yeah, like I do with all critically acclaimed, high averaging albums... oh wait, that's right, I don't do that at all. In fact I'm pretty sure someone called me a troll for rating numerous classic albums with comparitively low scores.
Just accept some people think that album is a 5, you think it's a little overrated, fine.

You see, I love that as an individual song, but I dont think it really fits neatly where they've put it. Dont know where else they could put it and it fit though, and I'm glad its there, so really this is a pointless complaint

Bannon's vox are definitely brighter but the lyrics definitely fit the morbid feel of the record.

the combo of t/t to in her shadow to eagles is impossible to match with any redux even if said redux was produced by jesus himself
