It is grating as fuck. Seriously? Have A Cigar is unquestionably in their top 5 worst songs.

I don't know, Arse - I mean music is subjective, but I wonder if some albums get loved just because of their cultural status, and people want to feel in the know, all worldly and shit. Or if people really are that complacent and are easily amused.

"They're overrated works, perpetuated by people like you who think they're masterpieces. On the surface albums like Animals seem great. Their politic bent stuff is always engaging at least lyrically, but superb lyrics and conceptual execution does not an enjoyable album make. "

So like... what music/bands would you consider masterpieces? I mean like something that you can say is better and comparable to this?

The Beatles - Yellow Submarine is a psychedelic trip that drops all pretenses and just explores for the sake of it. It goes to some pretty dark and happy places, running the full gamut of emotion.

Are you sure you know what grating means? And using words like "unquestionably" makes you sound closeminded to other people having valid opinions that differ from your own.

Yeah, but while I love this album, I dislike some other critically acclaimed albums.

1. This doesn't have emotion?

2. That's psychedelic. This is progressive. Try again.

So what, you think you're an exception to the rule because you dislike other albums? Defiant for the sake of it? Or because you don't like something just because of how well liked it is culturally.

Ok so he is a troll cool [2]

Yeah that last comment confirmed it since he assumed I dislike some other critically acclaimed albums for the sake of their acclaim lol.

Um, this obviously has some psychedelic leanings. Give me a fucking break; do you mean to tell me you don't think this is oftentimes trippy, relaxing? It's music tailored to stoners.

I think the context of the genre has changed, and people are prone to pouncing on others for genre misrepresentation, but it's not like i'm comparing to drastically different things

Is that seriously the kind of subversive, narrow-minded bullshit you spew when you don't understand somebody's rationale? You just resort to calling them a troll because their ideals don't align with yours? Either you're insecure as fuck and think people are just out to get you, so you write them off as 'trolls' as a defense mechanism, or you really are just that fucking ignorant. Either way, it's dismissive and dumb

^^You do know that it's kind of hard for you to make that point after you practically called both people who like acclaimed albums and those who don't like them stupid on the same fucking page?

No we're calling you a troll because you seem to be going out of your way to upset us with over the top claims while jumping to rash conclusions.

What I meant was, how would you compare this to something like Close to the Edge or Hemispheres?
