All we love and axe to fall are so embedded in my brain it’s hard for me to compare this one to them so shortly after its release
Converge is one of like 15 bands that I can’t really do a proper ranking for, and if I ever did in the past it definitely changed by now cause it changes every week

Back to the consistency convo: I don’t think anything converge has ever done is bad per se although I haven’t checked their really early stuff, but for me there’s buckets of decent/pleasant, and then buckets of all timers. I don’t find them to consistently put out 4+ material but when they do they’re phenomenal. This one falls into the decent pleasant bucket for me but it’s probably #1 in that bucket

I’m starting to understand why you guys have this at 3s and 3.5s based on your other converge takes. Which yknow, as long as it’s not “bad band” it’s not wrong. I just get why TDIU fans would be bummed about this record

@scoot yeah all we love fires on all cylinders. almost each song has something unique and characteristic. the best thing is it goes for 50 min in the deluxe edition and never loses steam
