Idk I think the opening paragraph in the review about getting into metal through Metallica or Megadeth is extremely accurate. It was Metallica for me so I never really gave Megadeth a chance, and now the vocals are just grinding and all the guitarwork seems so over the top. Definitely respect them, but I just can't get into it. That said I might give their 80s albums a proper listen sometime.

I read all the less than positive comments and agreed this is not their best effort. I’m not hearing the terrible though. Middle of the road, maybe uninspired, sure. But it still has highlights and I keep spinning it every few days or so with some enjoyment, hence, the 3.5. It’s more of a 3.2 or 3.3 if I could rate to the tenth. It’s better than the new Kreator and most other recent metal records that isn’t death metal.
