He’s just a symptom, this type of shit started long before he was relevant enough to actually impact metal at large imo

Yeah, the Linkin Park worship was cool on Sempiternal but now that it's combined with the genericore it just doesn't add anything.

Yeah this is just a pale shadow of Negative Spaces. Sounds like b/c sides from it even.

Jordan Fish began his suckfest spree with BMTH TTS. I still like some tracks off it, but it is def where BMTH began falling off after the masterpiece that is Sempiternal.

Yeah I got the vibe that a lot of these are b sides from Negative Spaces. Idk if I would call it a pale shadow of it or anything, considering I do like a lot of it, but if she tries to do a third album in this style… idk I won’t be as defensive. And like I said on an earlier page, if this had dropped a lengthy amount of time after negative spaces I would be disappointed, but it literally has only been like 13-14 months between records. It’s not like we waited 3-4 years for Negative Spaces part 2.

Again tho, she really has to switch it up again for her next record, and I think, even as somebody that does like the album, that she should start with dropping Fish.

What's ironic is hearing this newest album actually made me like/respect Zig more than I originally did.

Not that I think it's some underrated classic, but man it feels so out of left field and unique compared to her most recent two albums as well as the two that came before it.

Idk why zig has such a low avg tbh, I think it’s fine, sub 3 is kinda weird. I also don’t LOVE it or anything but it’s certainly better than that avg

The title track to me is the definition of "so bad it's good"

No song with lyrics that dumb deserves a beat that goes so hard.

The Attic is legit one of Poppy's best songs in her discography, wonder if that's what you're thinking of.
