Intronaut slays but Last Things and the Danny Walker stuff turned me off them toward the end :/

Direction of Last Things is probably my favorite record of theirs, I don't know a lot about the Danny Walker situation other than they no contest booted him over some alleged domestic shit, which kind of seems like the smart move for any band these days, but again I don't know the situation well.

Unconformities is prob my fave here, but its totally a different beast in terms of the general vibe of the album and the band overall. Its writing goes totally early Muse and it ends in a kind of total tDEP madness. Yeah it goes.
The performs there are fantastic but I could definitely picture Bellamy and Pusciato doing it also flawlessly, if not with even more emotion ahah

early Muse fucking slays
definitely one of the sharpest drop-offs a band has had for me tho
Also fully get the comment and could also hear Bellamy ripping through those verses all distorted as shit.

you can totally hear they're a bit out of their natural comfort zone but the disc is yet another juicy add to their discog
Probably would have wanted something a bit more, but love how smooth Atlantic's electronic is.

Early muse is sick
Yeah I can see the similarities here and honestly it's super cool to hear that kinda stuff in a band like this. Shows they're multilayered.

Been jamming this a lot the last few days and it's still so good. Lots of different parts get pleasantly stuck in my head.
Maybe this is the copium speaking, but after doing a few full runthroughs of the album I am starting to see why Unconformities didn't make the cut (beyond any vinyl runtime issue). It doesn't quite fit the whole album's "story" so to speak; the song has a different feel and doesn't fully jive with the rest of the record as a whole, in my opinion. Still a fantastic song in and of itself though.
Also, can I just say that the bassist is so on point with this album in every way. Knows when to lay low and when to add in flavor. When Atlantic kicks it up a notch and he plays that fast background riff in unison with the guitar... It's intoxicating.

yeah gotta be honest this is a pretty boring album and quite a let down for me. I'm all for a band changing their sound/direction but this really isn't that interesting besides a few things here and there.
