Top 3 AOTY for me, haven’t decided on a #1 though so it has a shot!

My #1 so far is Hellfire by Black Midi. This is a close second purely because of Star Baby is the best song of the year.

see, I can’t decide between Star Baby and Title Track… but while that internal debate’s been going on, Field Sobriety Practice has grown on me immensely

Field Sobriety Practice is definitely the hidden gem on here. One of my favourites here. The solo is rather good.

Violent Astrology is actually the best track here, most people are just too blinded by the ice cream and MTV to see it.

Happy to see Field Sobriety Practice getting some love. It's been my #2 behind Star Baby since day 1. And I've pretty much listened to this thing on repeat since it came out

Fantastic musicians. Stylistically it leaves me a little cold. This kind of mathcore just doesn’t hit me like it did when it was younger. I feel like it’s stupid to count a lack of cohesion against a mathcore release but here I am. It’s still really good though. Not a big fan of the cleans.

Each track brings something fun and different to the table.
I wonder if they get MORE atmospheric in the future...
