YOU'RE JUST A STRANGER IN A T-SHIRT TO ME

imagine doing Infinite Josh or Fewer Afraid live but at some point in the runtime you transition into a Dear Hunter song instead

music suddenly stops just before last part of Endless Josh

15 seconds of silence

then a voice

"BELIEVE YOU ME, THE PRICE IS CLEAR"

Fuuuuuuuuuck. I'm just now getting around to listening to this and Queen Sophie has one of the best choruses I've ever heard. I'm 3 songs in and this feels so far above everything else the band has done.

Yeah this is far and beyond their more “influential” work. Two different styles but on a maturity and complexity standpoint this is stunning.

Okay so during the spoken word section of Fewer Afraid when he yells “Mahmoud was right.” Is he talking about ahmadenijad, the former Iranian president? If so lol

Thanks for the responses.. I thought it would be bizarre to be the Iranian president lol. Alluding to a free Palestine would also be totally in line with the themes of the album though. Anyways this still hits just as hard as day one for me, it’s so fucking cool to see an emo revival band fully transcend the trappings of that label

Isn't it the most magical moment when you have that listen where the record turns into a 5?
