I finally listened to this. I was skeptical at first, but it grew on me. I think Halcyon is my favorite so far!

Yeah, I was expecting this to be overrated from things I read here but this is like top 3 albums of last year for me tbh.



At first it sounded good, but not great, but ever since then every single song keeps getting stuck in my head and I find myself going back to this, which is more than I can say for like 95% of albums last year that I liked more straight off the bat (seriously, I cant remember a single song off of new Fear Factory and many other albums I liked immediately).

Circle With Me and Constance are my two favorites, those songs fucking slayyyy. Secret Garden and Yellowjacket are right under those for me.

im not huge on we live in a strange world either but ya other than that everything here is great. swapped both those songs w rule of nines/blessed be not long after this dropped and at this point i forget they arent actually on here lol both wonderful songs

The biggest thing they can do on their next release is vary the riffs a little more. Courtney is a phenomenal vocalist and if she can propel fairly generic metalcore riffs to something more interesting imagine what the band can do when they're all firing on all cylinders.

I just took the songs that for whatever reason didn't make the album and added them to it anyway since it's digital. I put Rule Of Nines and Blessed Be as tracks 5 and 6. Actually helps the pacing of the album, too.

i realllly like rule of nines in the 2nd slot in place of hurt you. not only does it get rid of easily my lowlight here, but i think it fills the gap between sun killer and yellowjacket wonderfully

i love architects up to and including lf/lt then they lose me. honestly i like yellowjacket more than almost all of the last 3 architects albums lol

The last Architects album was tolerable, but disappointing. I love the trilogy of "Lost Forever // Lost Together", "All Our Gods", and "Holy Hell" but not much before them and definitely not a big fan of the one after these. To me, he just doesn't fit on the song here. I think it would have been cooler if they had both been singing together.
