Okay this is better than Magma after a couple of listens, no doubt. I'm eager to see how far it can climb up the ladder for me. It's kind of a bold album actually for Gojira, I don't think they've sacrificed their sound so much on this one like on Magma, while also kinda creating a different beast. At least they sound a lot more comfortable here

Now that you guys won't shut up about Magma, i'll have to go through their discog again. From what i remember, L'enfant is superior to both, this and Magma.

It took me several years before L'Enfant Sauvage clicked for me, I used to really really dislike it apart from one track, now it's my favorite with From Mars to Sirius.

the bell hits that plays in the intro of Into the Storm feel like the alarm bell of a vessel getting sucked into a maelstrom and its a fantastic image

L'Enfant is just like the previous albums but a bit weaker. Felt like they stagnated and just repeated the motions without any energy or passion and missing a lot of the death metal sound.

"In France it was considered as a true let down and the beginning of the end for the old fans of Jira !"

That's exactly how I feel about L'Enfant. Very disappointing album, so bland.

there's some songs on Terra that I'm not huge on like Satan is a Lawyer but Deliverance, Love, and In the Forest are three of their best songs.
