i really have to be in the mood to enjoy this band.
and even then i mostly only get a mild enjoyment out of them.
kinda sucks, i do want to like them more.
but they just have zero musical hooks for me to latch onto.

yeah, hooks are not exactly Godspeed's calling card. Yanqui plays more like a classical-electronic piece with overarching themes so maybe that's your best bet?
