I'm so tempted to bump this CD to a 5...I find myself liking it more than Aenima lately! FUCK!

I have this at 4.5 because Aenima > this.

Though I think Lateralus is like their best track next to Stinkfist (I dunno why but that moves me the most)

Stinkfist is really good. I love the lyrical concept of it too.

I can only really listen to this as a whole. Individual tracks are good but I feel much more satisfied if I listen to Lateralus in it's entirety.

Couldn't agree more with that last statement. This one flows so much better than all of their other albums.

Definitely. I vacillate between this and Aenima as my fave but as a whole, this does take the cake (as you so said in your ASP thread minutes ago).

this is by far better than Aenima I think. It's by far the best of all of Tool's albums, neither Aenima nor 10,000 days can be compared to it.

They're all really different from each other.

Lateralus relies a lot on build up and stuff and is best listened to as a whole. 10,000 Days is a lot more guitar/bass orientated and Aenima has some of their best individual songs.

Aenima has a touch too much filler, this has just the right amount, in my opinion... but I'm sure that's debatable.

Best album ever. Period.

Lateralus, Disposition and Reflection are the best songs ever made... Truly a magnificent work of art!

This album truly is God.

I presented a paper in math today about Fibinacci. I pretty much just talked about all the cool connections Tool uses to it in Lateralus. Oh well, I'm going to fail calculus anyways.

Calaculus shmalculus...that's what i say...

Album is near-perfect but some songs are a little too long for their own good...Definitely in my top 20 but i just can't say it's a perfect album...

Yeah the interlude in Ticks and Leeches is just slightly too long. Kind of like the interlude in Pushit. If they shortened those two, I wouldn't be able to pick out a single flaw in either album. (Well maybe the intro in Reflection is a little long too.)

I found a youtube video that explains Lateralus and its connections to the Fibonacci sequence in a very understandable way.
