synths don't bother me either but those synths feel like hitting my taint with a mallet except in my brain

they should've used the title brain pain back then instead of 2020

also all i can think of when i hear RODT is the show drake and josh so i guess it's a preference of nickelodeoncore vs. disneycore lol

i mean the comparison i made was mostly due to the beef they had back when, considering how the bravado that ADTR was trying to show back then is really funny as to how superior to them FYS is at this point in time.

musically, RODT was kinda annoying but Bada Bing with a Pipe is sick and the remaster was nice sounding as well, which is funny in and of itself since I can listen to that album and still dig it a bit but this shit, for a band this deep into their career, is absolutely embarrasing.

edit: Set your Goals clears them both indeed.

might be the most universally negative reception i've ever seen

like i've yet to see even one person go "cmon guys its not THAT bad" its actually quite beautiful how united everyone is on this

oh its certainly better than anything on this album can't argue that

i think this single was the breaking point after the last four years of bullshit. not only did they release another (slightly-less) terrible single after three years of fans hoping they would bounce back from this dogshit album... but one in terrible taste where they made it loud and clear that they are angry and also totalllyyyyy unconcerned about the feedback they've been getting (which can easily be read as much for the pedo-bassist as the awful music given how dragged out that whole thing was)

seems like it turned even their biggest defenders

oh and to top if all off you got jeremy on facebook claiming this song is actually NOT about the fans but a specific person he doesn't like and it was actually written in 2018 i mean cmon bro nobody believes that

never actually looked at their writing credits before... found it really interesting:

- ftwhh and homesick were solely written by the band

- denney leaves the band but is still writing with them on wsmfy. also getting a lot of chad gilbert credits. skaff becomes easily the biggest / pretty much the only contributor of the actual members besides jeremy.

- common courtesy has more writing credits from non-members than it does from actual members... by a lot. denney, wade, and gilbert dominate this.

- gilbert is completely gone on bad vibrations and denney + wade have a single credit. westfall becomes the 2b to skaff's 2a. still a few outsiders in there but its pretty minimal

- this album has an entire assortment of "professional" outside writers. may as well be a jeremy solo album with how little the rest of the band is featured here

Yeah RODT has not aged well whereas Enemy of The World is literally one of the best sounding albums production-wise from the 2010's, those guitars still sound like spitfire machine guns. Shout out to those guys for still writing really fun music 20+ years into the career.
