cardigan is a very vanilla song, not really into it at all.

diminishing returns on this one, gotta say. thought it was quite beautiful at first but on repeat listens many songs miss the mark

The funny thing about the P4k review is that they gave it an 8/10 and people are still mad

They think this is revolutionary like sis calm down, it's a cute pleasant record, but not even top 25 of the year so far

@Gyromania: Man, it's just plain out boring. Everything it's doing, you've heard it somewhere before, done better. Sound quality wise, it's well produced and and I think her voice is a nice timbre. But the melodies and chord progressions are often so predictable and unexciting. I remember a song or two ruining the good atmosphere they started with by the end with banal/bad songwriting decisions.

And if it's your #1 of the year so far, fuck the reviews, enjoy it, blast August from your car speakers and sing along

does anyone who thinks this is generally boring songwriting also think that last part of "invisible string" hints at better things? imho...

Yeah, the end of Invisible String is pretty nice. I can't help but laugh at the line where she pats herself on the back for forgiving her exes though. lmao Like please sing about something else.

Agreed. I recall Seven being a good tune front to back. More than I can say for most of these songs.
