Just revisited Borderline and yeah that song is fantastic.

Borderline is a more immediate offering here, I really enjoy it

I prefer the single version of Borderline so much more tbh.

I like the album version more myself, although they're both great.

So far after a few jams, my favorites are Borderline, Breathe Deeper, On Track, and Is It True

Breathe Deeper is almost perfect

Posthumous Forgiveness is probably my fave track.

'It might be time' is scarily relevant to any dude in his early 30s
I feel personally attacked

The first two songs are so meh

The first one is weird but intriguing for some reason, second does nothing for me

Currents had its throwaways whereas this doesn’t
nangs, past life, gossip, disciples, etc
Maybe the first 3, but Disciples is a highlight imo. That guitar is so tasty.

I mean, “Glimmer” is as much of a throwaway as those mentioned on Currents. Currents was a highlights album, this is just an hour of roughly equal quality, little stands out to me as particularly great or notably weaker than anything else.

the house-y touch rules on glimmer

Man, this material live is gonna rule even harder.

"Currents had its throwaways whereas this doesn’t
nangs, past life, gossip, disciples, etc"
Could be, but even if inconsistent, I prefer an album with great highs and some uninteresting tracks over a whole album of "meh" songs

Also I know I keep just saying variations on the same thing but wow I wish this album was instrumental, there's some serious vibes being spoiled by his vocals/vocal melodies here

Itt ppl complaining about Kevin not being a good singer despite him doing the exact same vocal style across his 4 full length albums

Album Rating: 3.0
His vocal style doesn't bother me tbh, but this is the first TI album that gives so much focus to the vocals and absolutely no focus to the instrumentation
