judging by their averages here and on RYM i think they'd be doing just fine if this was their post-reunion output. also forgive me but i'm not taking someone who found redeeming quality in Tones and I seriously, that record was horrendous.

i like moments on this "shit" record, title track and sugar youth especially. there's moments here that i'm not hot on, no doubt - meet me on the roof that got mentioned is especially a low point - but i don't see much to really complain about. and it's based on a hypothetical because i guarantee you one of the biggest issues people have here is that it's a GREEN DAY attempt to go garage rock and not a true-to-life garage rock band. they definitely did a better job here than they did last time...
