Blue In Green [2]

I first encountered this when I asked me dad to give me some jazz rec, and ofc he came up with this one (and Dave Brubeck)

How about you Trif?

I love this record, but Dark Magnus STOMPS IT.

Edit: And Miles Smiles does too. And the fusion shit. It's a 5 but it's still overrated.

Oh, and to address the thread, I'd actually gotten into a lot more weird forms of jazz before I doubled back and said "lemme go and listen to this." And obviously it's amazing and stylish af but I can't get over the "baby's first jazz album" quality of this and Brubeck's Time Out and just most other "cool jazz". lol I'm just an asshole though.

I heard some big ones....and new whacky cool ones like Aristocrats, or Bruno Pernadas, or BADBADNOTGOOD....

but I fear I'm pretty jazzless!

kinda agree MillionDead, this is baby's first jazz album, but I'll be damned if this isn't peak jazz

This is a good album to chill out, with historical importance...do not move me much though :x

unlike lets say Black Saint?

And ei! I'm jamming that Brubeck's you mentioned and its much more my style! The first tunes there were immediately recognizable as well.

I really dig jazz that would not work in an elevator! (that's a simple exercise I make that actually works on me)...So tks indirectly Million!

It doesn't really surprise me you prefer more vibrant music - ie Black Saint

I think you would love afrobeat 3D, stuff like Fela Kuti or Antibalas

Maybe you'll like jazz/electronic/hip hop combo type stuff like Alfa Mist and Lund Quartet then.
