IT WAS ONE POSTER

Why can't we just have a good circlejerk over this?

Yeah, blame the prog and tech death people for that.

Just because it was one poster, doesn't mean the said post doesn't warrant a discussion.

Anyway, back to that point in Tradition where they bring it back down and introduce an absolutely delicious melody. Turns out that theme mutates and varies through the rest of the song. It's just great songwriting.

Then come the solos. Pure bliss.

Guitar work is lovely, the solos are real highlights.

Yeah I’m not down with the idea ANY genre should conform to its stereotypes, or a pre-determined bunch of characteristics. I’m with you guys on that one. Regardless it’s not as though BM hasn’t leaned this way in the past, in all honesty I generally prefer the more atmospheric, or even melodic approach. I’m not necessarily looking for raw heaviness, ferocity or breakneck speed.

I feel like there is a lack of truly evil black metal. Much of the genre resorts to melodic riffing. A lot of it is good, i just wish there were more bands out there like Akhlys or Craft.

The guy behind Nightbringer and Akhlys still seems to be able to conjure some evil black metal.

man's got like 5 active projects and somehow retains consistency through all of them, damn impressive if you ask me

5 active projects we know about. Who knows how many others he has that are kept from the public lol. Bountiful creativity that guy has.

Damn these melodies are making me feel feelings. The wild ass guitar solos are sick but they kind of take me out of the immersion tho

surely this isn't easy listening or else i wouldn't have had a hard time getting past the halfway mark on subsequent listens

it's pretty intricate but on the surface it sounds like a forest or some shit so i guess it's easy listening
which reminds me that i revisited the rest of this band's discog and cared for none of it. looking forward to the future instead
