Ah I see. Peanut is really stripped down and eerie compared to IDLS for sure. And that is true I suppose you’re looking for an artist similar. Your last comment insinuated you were looking for ‘tracks’ similar so I thought you wanted more Earl. My bad man. Hmm in the same vein of “darkness” that Peanut encapsulates I would have to say try out bedwetter. Side project of Lil Ugly Mane that’s probably the most intriguingly evil thing I’ve heard in a long ass time. it’s much more experimental and weird, like this.

No worries, thanks for the rec dude, will check it out. Big fan of LUM's main work.

His lyrics were more uniform and thematically driven in past releases, which gives this the feeling of him just saying random phrases which makes it seem derivative. Feels much less poetic to me.
Ontheway! is a top tier earl track tho agreed.

It’s in its own realm yeah. I regret that statement. I guess in my head I was thinking they both have that dark atmosphere but Peanut is just too weird

I've listened to this a bunch of times and it's very enjoyable. Raps and beats are dope, but it's so unmemorable and nothing stands out. I'll listen to it but then can't remember how a single song went.

while i think any piece of music becomes somewhat memorized with repetition, this isnt meant to be catchy or hard-hitting, it is easy-listening on purpose

Lol easy listening? Albums a musical equivalent of fallout 76.
