This is more focused and mature than Ride The Lightning. I like “... And Justice For All” the best, but I prefer this over Ride The Lightning, and that’s not a knock at all; first 4-5 albums are straight up killer.

^ No it's not. It's in no way "more focused", it's less focused if anything. It's starting to steer away from thrash. And Justice for All is the worst of their first 5 albums...it's continuing the steering away from thrash but not enough to not be thrash at all like the black album which, at least, is cohesive because of that. And Justice for All is a mixed bag and poorly mastered.

Ride The Lightning is their best because it has the energy of Kill'em'all but with more experience.

I prefer 'Lulu' to 'Re-Load' because at least Lulu brings the consistent lols



Re-Load instantly made Load sound like Beethoven by comparison, that's all I remember, instant reappraisal. I even started thinking the cum stains and eyeliner image was a decent fit after being subjected to 'Re-Load'.



The song with Marianne F is an epic turd, but funny. Almost 'Lulu' funny. it's not enough.



Marianne couldn't do all the heavy lifting by herself.
