I've heard of it/them; is it/are they a band or an album?

@danielito19: They were a Japanese gore/noisegrind project. To get a taste of how chaotic they were, hear Noise-A-Go Go whenever you get the chance.

Damn super jelly, I've been listening to full of hell lately they're really incredible.
Also:
@danelito: rec some grind? I'm always open to new stuff, PD is easily my favourite band in the genre from what I've heard. Anything kind of similar?

Rotten Sound and Nasum are going to be the most similar to Pig Destroyer in the sense that they have very clean production and accessible riffs.
Need to Control is my favorite grindcore album ever; it incorporates a million different genres into a deathgrind framework and kicks serious ass the whole way through.
Also I somehow forgot Assuck; listen to everything they've ever put out, it rules.

What the fuck is up with Pig Destroyer making this big deal and building up hype for their release of 'Mass & Volume' when it already came out early last year.

That's been pissing me off too. I commented on their facebook status about it saying why are they promoting this as if it wasn't released ages ago and they said simply because it's now in physical format. Too bad it's complete fucking dogshit.

agreed hard, they've been spamming facebook promoting that 'brand new' horseshit of an album so much it is getting really annoying.

It boggles my mind that they recorded that during Phantom Limb. Before I listened to it and only knew that it was more or less outtakes from that era, I expected something amazing.

Yea it really disappointed me it had so much potential:
* released before book burner
* doom metal, cool I love doom metal!
* pig destroyer is in like my top 5 favourite bands
obviously this album is gonna be amazing, right, right????
