i haven't felt this way about an album in years. The last 3 songs are all absolutely stunning in particular.

Surely the mark of a great album when each and every song is mentioned in people's favourites.

Oh my god the crowd for these guys last night was the most obnoxious crowd I have ever had the displeasure of being a part of UGh
Skipped out the last 45mins and went to Arcane Roots down the road and had a much better time. Biggest shame

"Oh my god the crowd for these guys last night was the most obnoxious crowd I have ever had the displeasure of being a part of UGh"

Screaming at the top of their lungs throughout all of the songs to the point where it was kind of hard to make out a lot of it, pushing people out the way just so they could get right to the front even when the place was packed out, a LOT of people clearly had dropped and were completely unaware of other people (eg me losing my glasses to some guy wildly swinging around during 'Don't let your spirit wane' of all songs - somehow they survived a whole song of being on the floor thank god), people trying to be funny by screaming quips and things during songs, and loads of people aggressively pushing people out of the way of their girlfriends whenever they got close to anyone who wasn't them - despite it being a packed out show in a tiny room.

Thats disappointing. Sounds like a bassnectar show lmao

The singer also said something about 'the erosion of western values' between songs which set of some fucking alarm bells in my head

Gang of Youths and Arcane Roots on the same night sounds pretty stacked, sorry bout the crowd. But given the general tone of the band's lyrics the "erosion of Western values" probably doesn't mean what you think it does

I didn't think so either - but I was still slightly confused what they were on about. Especially since only one of them is typically White/Aus I didn't expect any backwardness when it came to social issues

wouldn't mind an alt-right controversy taking this band down

lucid get outta here there is no way that is going to happen ever and you shouldn't wish the alt-right disease on anybody
|
| |
Next you're gonna tell me "there's no way the singer will ever be accused of sexual assault!" Anything is possible bro. There are lots of sketchy people in the music industry.

I mean the singer seemed like a huge tool, but unsure about the whole alt-right thing it was just a phrase

ok but you just ignored the most egregious part of your comment, which offhandedly wished for a band's career to end just because you don't get why the website likes this album lots > : (

well that's lucid for you

So many 5s ugh

That sounds awful JS. I'm really looking forward to seeing them tomorrow, hope it's not gonna be like that.

Can't imagine being so insecure I follow up on threads of albums I don't like and leave comments like:
"I hope these guys are alt-right so they lose fans" and "ugh so many 5s"
brutal
