fleet foxes fans "don't get" rap music, they just pretended to while obama was in office.

Popular music CAN be good, but this swag rap fluff that's going around is just embarrassingly trite and quite frankly I find myself wondering if the destabilization of the hip hop community is intentional at this point or if it's a consequence of social media's meme-driven dopamine feedback loops.

The album was made to sound disjointed on purpose, so it's not surprising that it's a little low key. But just because the album was made that way doesn't mean it gets a free pass. Robin's said the next album will be more flowing so it might click with critics more.

It really is their best; Self titled was great and a lot of fun but this has so much depth to it it's insane.

Each of their LPs is great, but I like this most for the ambition and classical elements.
