this album feels like a less inspired, more "tired" version of TGG. the hooks aren't nearly as good, the guitar work is more one-dimensional than ever, Jason's feature feels out of place and the production is terrible. it's still a good album, but i've come to expect more than just good from TWY after their two classics in Suburbia and TGG.

Spraynard and Better Off have the better 2015 albums from this genre so far.

Cigarettes and Saints is the song that makes me feel things like I did a few years ago and I haven't since

Well I didn't like The Greatest Generation and I'm not feeling this at all. I guess I'll chalk it up to not liking this style of pop punk.

Also the singer sounds like Johnny Craig.

The best thing about this album is the album art... yeah, I think I've grown out of TWY. Been listening to them since Get Stoked On This and I think they peaked with The Upsides although I enjoyed many of the tunes of the last couple albums too.. this one just seems worn out and too depressing. Go spend some money, get some ass, and cheer up Soupy

Anyone who thinks they peaked with the Upsides should just go listen to Neck Deep and stop complaining about this band everywhere on the internet

I still haven't checked this out, but I'm pretty sure I'd enjoy it.

I tried the new Neck Deep, but for some reason, I cannot stand the lead singer's voice. It just grates on me.

It's the reason I cant get through Life's Out to Get You... and one of their guitarists was possibly a pedo. Theres that too.

That particular case was far worse than typical pedophile... As backwards as that sounds.

Well, theres a difference between soliciting (unwanted?) dick pics to minors and what Ian did. So...

mellow dramatic

holy shit

but anyway all pop punk is a little melodramatic and considering the theme behind this album and the amount of actually warranted "dramaticism" that naturally follows from that theme, this record is no more excessively emotional than any other TWY record.
