I can never take the whole "lyrics of x song make me cringe" comments on the internet seriously when it comes to rock/metal because the lyrics of like 99% of the genre will sound fucking terrible just typing and reading them out in text like that.
Like I've never once thought those Fuel lyrics are "cringe" listening to that song for 15 years lmao. They fit the hot wheels/fast and furious vibe of the song to a tee and James' performance really sells them.
